NIRPC Welcomes New Climate Fellow Intern

David Clifford, MPA candidate from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University has been chosen to be NIRPC’s new Climate Fellow Intern.  He started the position on May 9th.

David Clifford will assist in the development of a regional Climate Action Plan by working directly with NIRPC’s natural resource planner, specializing in land use, data and spatial analysis.

He will help the Climate Action Planning team to synthesize analysis of 18 local government greenhouse gas emission inventories with demographic and community characteristics and help develop actionable strategies and programs designed to effect science-based, measurable outcomes.

These action items will take into consideration environmental justice and economic impacts for diverse communities.
