A warm welcome was extended to, David Clifford, the new Climate Fellow Intern for the NWI Regional Planning Commission. David started on May 9th.
David Clifford, MPA candidate at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs of Indiana University in Bloomington, will assist in the development of a regional Climate Action Plan (CAP) by working directly with NIRPC’s natural resource planner.
David will help the CAP team synthesize analysis of 18 local government greenhouse gas emissions inventories with demographic and community characteristics and assist a climate action work group in developing actionable strategies and programs designed to create science-based measurable outcomes for the environment.
These strategies will aim for inclusivity by having co-benefits that acknowledge diversity and include environmental justice as well as economic impacts.
