The project goal is to develop a regional framework for climate action with science-based carbon reduction targets for Lake County communities to build their Climate Action Plans around. Measurable results by 2030/ 2050. The group is meeting to identify and build upon a unifying purpose and allow our team members to self-select groups that are within their areas of interest in order to accomplish that purpose.
Informative presentations were shared by Kathy Luther of NIRPC and David Clifford, McKinney Climate Fellow, offering updates and progress on emission and forecast modeling and climate vulnerability assessment for several sectors in our region.
